How to Tell if Your SEO Strategy is Working

Traffic Isn’t the Only Signal

More traffic is nice, but it doesn’t tell the full story. Your SEO strategy is working only if the right people are finding your site at the right time and taking meaningful actions. High visitor numbers are meaningless if potential customers can’t locate the information they need, engage with your content, or convert into leads and sales.

Look at Keyword Intent

Ranking for “what is [service]” might get you impressions, but if your customer is looking for “[service] near me” you’re missing your market. Understanding your customer’s Intent is better than volume.

Audit the Funnel Impact

Is your SEO strategy actually shortening the sales cycle? Effective SEO doesn’t just drive traffic, it guides potential customers through every stage of the funnel. It should educate and qualify leads, helping them understand your offerings and why your brand is the right choice.

Ask the Hard Questions

Ask yourself: Who is this content for? What action are they taking? Does this support revenue? Is your content providing clarity and the information users need, exactly when they need it and where they expect to find it? Are blog posts answering common questions, landing pages addressing pain points, and product pages guiding users toward conversion? If the answer is no, it’s time to reassess your approach.

Remember, traffic alone doesn’t equal success. Your goal is to attract the right audience, deliver relevant content, and convert visitors into loyal customers—this is what indicates that your SEO strategy is working.

Higher visibility means more customers. Don’t leave money on the table for your competitors.
Real SEO. No fluff.
